In this tutorial, i will show you how to create an awesome effect using Pixelmator and Photoshop.

Create you document in Pixelmator, and go to Filter>Quartz Composer>Generator>Travelator. Check out the image below for a reference.

Pace: 100
Depth: 0.80

Set the blending mode of this layer to Screen and duplicate it 4 times. Rename each layer like the image below.

Now, we should transform each layer to the right position.Leave the Top right layer at her place.Select the top left layer and go to Edit>Tranform>Flip Horizontal.Select the Bottom right layer and go to Edit>Tranform>Flip Vertical.For the last layer ” Bottom left layer” go to Edit>Tranform>Flip Vertical and Edit>Tranform>Flip Horizontal.

The result should be like this:

Go to File>Export>Photoshop to export a PSD file.

Open this file with Photoshop.Select all the layers and merge them. Change the blending mode to Screen and duplicate it.Behind the 2 layers,Create a new layer and fill it with black.Go to Filter>Render>Lens Flare .Select Movie Prime and set the Brightness to 120%

Create a new layer, fill it with any color and open the layer style.Set the Fill Opacity to 0%.

Select Gradient Overlay.Use #008bcc for light blue and #eb007a for the deepink .Set the blending mode to Overlay,Opacity 100%,Angle -45 and Scale 47.

Create a new Vibrance Adjustement layer and set the vibrance to +20.Create also a Photo filter adjustement layer and select Color.Change the color to #a201ff.


The final result

if we want to have some other effect,we can apply some texture to have grungy effect or change the Style of Gradient layer to Radial.
